Just Crow Things is a very funny, silly game that’s full of quests and weird things to do. That and you can poop on people.

You know, I always thought if I was a bird, my life would just be building nests and singing songs too early in the morning. In this game, however, you get to be a crow and cause lots of mischief! Playing as an adorable little crow whose special possession has been stolen, you will work your way through a bunch of levels that see you just causing chaos.

Everything about Just Crows Things is hilarious and well developed. From the text that the NPCs say to the level selection map to the giant bread with a face that seems to laugh when you drop it – it’s all silly and appealing. Over the course of several weeks, Robin and I have tag-teamed through the game, helping our animal friends and deciding when we are sick of levels and want to move on.

You see, when you enter a level, you can sort of decide how much of it you want to play. There are different quest points ..

Keylocker needs you to play with rhythm and music to protect yourself and slam your enemies in its turn-based combat.

In this cyberpunk future, music is illegal (hence why the game can be pretty quiet at times). This makes Bobo, a singer and song writer, a perfect instrument for a revolution against those who would keep the people down and the tunes low. So, you’ll need to turn your musical talents (as well as those of your fellow rebels) against the regime that’s overtaken the world. Just…do it carefully at times. The trouble with you being a music-based rebel is that it makes you easy to find since you and your band are kinda loud.

Playing loud is the best way of laying down beatings on sinister agents, though. When you get into a fight, you’ll need to figure out the rhythm of you attacks and those of your foes. It’s been a very long time since I last played this charming rhythm game. Originally released over a decade ago, the game charmed me with its lovely music and the way in which everything in the game would bring something new to the music. Even if it’s a laser hazard looking to make your life a bit more painful, it’ll bring some sort of riff from an instrument to the game. This means that, the more danger you’re in, the more complex and satisfying the music gets. So, it leaves a smile on your face even as you’re threading your way through dangerous places.

Beatbuddy is also pleasant to look at while it’s sending you through challenging seas. The game’s underwater world does an excellent job of continually surprising you with striking new places to see and creatures to run into.
