The Jack-o’-Head armour makes a comeback this year within Monster Hunter Now, inviting you to celebrate Halloween with all its thrills and chills. From now until October 31st, you can clear specific tasks for the MH Now Halloween 2024: Haunted Weapon event – particularly, you’ll need to collect Lollipop Candy and defeat monsters to score Pumpkin Tickets. These, in turn, can be used to forge and upgrade the Jack-o’-Head armour.

These Are The Games I’m Going To Try During Valve’s Famous October FestivalThe Steam Next Fest of October 2024 just kicked off a few hours ago, and it’s one of those events that I both love and hate at the same time. I love it because once you dive into the dedicated store page—which you can find here—you can get lost among the huge number of titles participating in the event. Often, you’ll stumble across that game you’ve been eagerly waiting to try, or you might even discover a brand-new title that’s being announced during the festival.
Now, the reason I hate it is pretty simple: a lot of these demos are time-limited. For me, that means only a few hours to sample a massive list of RPGs and Strategy Games. The deadline for this edition of the festival is October 21, 2024, which is when the event officially wraps up.

Keylocker needs you to play with rhythm and music to protect yourself and slam your enemies in its turn-based combat.

In this cyberpunk future, music is illegal (hence why the game can be pretty quiet at times). This makes Bobo, a singer and song writer, a perfect instrument for a revolution against those who would keep the people down and the tunes low. So, you’ll need to turn your musical talents (as well as those of your fellow rebels) against the regime that’s overtaken the world. Just…do it carefully at times. The trouble with you being a music-based rebel is that it makes you easy to find since you and your band are kinda loud.

Playing loud is the best way of laying down beatings on sinister agents, though. When you get into a fight, you’ll need to figure out the rhythm of you attacks and those of your foes. In case you missed it, Zynga subsidiary Small Giant Games has launched a fiery new expansion in Empires & Puzzles, adding a boatload of new features within the puzzle RPG. In particular, the Dragon Dawn expansion not only adds fresh puzzle boards for you to tinker around with but also 45 dragon characters to welcome to the fray.

In the latest update to Empires & Puzzles, you can look forward to discovering nine new buildings along with a thrilling dragon-themed narrative to sink your teeth into. Find out what the Dragon Tile Booster does to switch up your gameplay, or see if you can take on the new foes in the Dragon Adventure story.

In it, you’ll resize your browser window (which does mean it’ll only work on desktop computers) and scoot it around your main screen in order to capture a great shot of the various insects and minibeasts that now roam it.

You’ll progress by taking nine photos, each of which require certain insects in them and also need the photo to be of a set type — portrait, landscape, or square. Sometimes you’ll do it by joining with some of the various creatures that live in the world around you. You never know when a little critter roaming around is the perfect helper to solve a puzzle. If a particular monster isn’t impressed by your intellect, you can always smack them with your club instead.

Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians sets you free in a sumptuous underwater kingdom where every plant and sea creature adds to the music.

It’s been a very long time since I last played this charming rhythm game. Originally released over a decade ago, the game charmed me with its lovely music and the way in which everything in the game would bring something new to the music. Even if it’s a laser hazard looking to make your life a bit more painful, it’ll bring some sort of riff from an instrument to the game. This means that, the more danger you’re in, the more complex and satisfying the music gets. So, it leaves a smile on your face even as you’re threading your way through dangerous places.

Beatbuddy is also pleasant to look at while it’s sending you through challenging seas. The game’s underwater world does an excellent job of continually surprising you with striking new places to see and creatures to run into.
